South Korea Once I had the long haul of London to Hong Kong out of the way, it was just a short three hour hop to Seoul and South Korea. I had arranged to meet Owen at the Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon Dong of Seoul. He suggested this because he had been there before and there are large numbers of Americans there from a near-by airbase. This meant that I had to negotiate my way to the hotel while not being able to speak a word of the language. After the scariest bus ride of my life (the bus driver only slowed slightly for red lights, rather than stopping for them, and tooting his horn at traffic rightly stopped at red lights that was in his way). After the adventures in Seoul, it was time to go down South the Ulsan. This is a very industrial city with a Hyundai car plant and lots of petrochemical plants. It is about an hours flight (or five hours by bus from Seoul. | ||||||
